Reports & Insights

Insightful reports and deliverables for NAIS schools

NAIS-member independent schools participating in HSSSE and MGSSE receive a wealth of data about how their students engage in school. The reporting materials go beyond simply providing summaries of responses to each survey question to help schools dig deeper into our Dimensions of Engagement, understand engagement across different groups of students, and make comparisons between their students and students at other NAIS independent schools.

Comparative data analyses and reporting

A unique feature of the HSSSE-MGSSE partnership with NAIS is our ability to provide independent schools with analyses that compare their students’ responses and engagement with those of students at other NAIS independent schools. These comparative analyses are a backbone of our reporting and insights for schools, helping schools to better understand the similarities and differences of their students’ engagement with students at other schools and, importantly, when differences might be important to pay attention to (i.e., identifying statistical significance and effect sizes).

Additional analyses & reports

Schools may request additional (optional, for an additional fee) analyses and reports that might be useful. For example, longitudinal reports are available to schools that have participated in more than one administration of the HSSSE. Custom reports are available for schools that have special requests outside the standard report.

Examples of past custom report requests include:

  • gender-specific comparisons (e.g., female respondents compared to female-only respondents from other schools);
  • school-size comparisons (e.g., school compared to other schools of a similar size); and
  • association specific comparisons (e.g., school compared to other schools from the same accrediting association).

These are provided for illustrative purposes only. CEPR would be happy to discuss the feasibility of any additional analyses or custom reports with interested schools.
