Dr. Jodi Moon has experience in K-12 research and legal and social policy analysis using mixed methods approaches. Research areas of focus have included school choice and the issues of access versus utilization, examining the fidelity of decentralization of an independent school district, implementing a survey on social and emotional needs conducted with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and exploring the extent to which state education codes contribute to the criminalization of children. Dr. Moon brings a versatile skillset to the CEPR team in her role as an Assistant Research Scientist. She has over 20 years of teaching experience, ranging from pre-school to middle school to post-secondary. Her peer review work includes several publications and serving as managing editor of three scholarly journals. Dr. Moon specializes in making research more relevant and user-friendly to empower those who seek to bring about systemic change with the evidence they need.
